Hi! I’m Sophia, and I have an unhealthy obsession with women’s health.
My path into women’s health coaching began through my own experience of burnout and trying to understand what was happening in my own body.
For several years, I was operating in a near constant state of stress at my job. Without even realizing it, my nervous system felt stuck in fight-or-flight. And over time, I began experiencing symptoms that I couldn’t fully explain: migraines, anxiety, depression, frequent 2am wake-ups, and a sense that my body was broken - I often found myself thinking, ‘can I trade in my body for another one?’.
Something had to change. I finally quit my job of 6+ years - it was a painstakingly slow decision laced with fear and doubt, but looking back I know it was the best decision I could have made for my body. And so what began shortly after this was a curiosity that quickly turned into deep, obsessive research.
I started paying closer attention to my cycle (tracking every symptom - big or small, daily) and noticed something fascinating: the way I felt, the decisions I wanted to make, and even the way I perceived my life could change depending on my hormones. And I began to draw connections between the different variables that heavily influenced my hormones, too.
At certain points in my cycle I felt clear, capable, and energized. At other points I felt overwhelmed, reactive, or disconnected from myself. And whether I drank, exercised, stressed, or relaxed - these all played a vital role.
It made me realize that what we often interpret as “personality,” motivation, or even mental resilience can sometimes be strongly influenced by hormonal fluctuations.
I opted to leave my career of 6 years after reflecting on the question, “would I be satisfied looking back at my life if I continue down this path?”. The answer was clearly no, yet it was still one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Around the same time, I threw myself into yoga, desperate to ground myself in something. Yoga quickly became an important part of my life because the practice created space for me to slow down and listen to my body in a way I hadn’t known I could do.
Instead of constantly pushing through fatigue or stress, I began to notice how my energy shifted, how my nervous system responded to pressure, and how different forms of movement affected my recovery.
I began studying hormone health and nervous system regulation.
I discovered that many women are navigating similar symptoms - fatigue, mood changes, sleep disruption, migraines, weight gain, lack of motivation (the list goes on…) without clear guidance on how hormones, stress, lifestyle, and movement all interact.
Today, my work focuses on helping women better understand what’s happening in their bodies and supporting them in rebuilding strength, energy, and confidence through a more integrated approach to health. I am a strong believer in always explaining why behind different mechanisms, so that women can feel empowered in their own body literacy journey.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief:
Your body isn’t broken. And you’re right for questioning the suffering you’re going through.
Now as a women’s health coach, having everything “dialled in” is far from the truth. My work comes from being in the process myself: paying attention, asking questions, and always staying curious.
Here’s to raising the bar for women’s health!
